Genesis 36:35 names him as the father of the Edomite King Chadad whose city was Avit.
Once again, so many of these names and places in Genesis turn out to be Edomite, you almost wonder whose history was being written, Ya'akov's or Esav's - and this four hundred years before the Edomites (Idumeans) came to rule over Yisra-El and grant Esav his revenge!
The name means "to divide" or "separate" or "to be solitary".
