Genesis 36:5 gives Ye'ish (יעיש) as a son of Esav; Genesis 36:18 makes him Ye'ush (יעוש) - yet another occasion where the Yud (י) and Vav (ו) appear to be interchangeable.
2 Chronicles 11:19 has Ye'ush as a son of Rechav-Am (Rehoboam).
The root is Ush (עוש) which Gesenius takes to mean "to hasten" but is usually reckoned, from its Syrian equivalent, to mean "to gather" or "assemble".
